Dear Valued Customer,
Greetings.
Recently, many regions have experienced frequent heavy rainfall and strong winds, increasing the risk of natural disasters such as flooding and landslides. To ensure the safety of farm facilities, livestock, poultry, and personnel, we strongly recommend implementing the following preventive measures.
1. Inspect and Reinforce Farm Buildings
Prioritize protection against flooding, landslides, and other weather-related hazards.
Conduct a comprehensive inspection of all poultry houses, livestock barns, and farm buildings.
Promptly repair and reinforce any loose, damaged, or weakened structural components to ensure building safety and stability.
Carefully inspect air inlets, deflectors, and sidewall ventilation windows. Ensure that all components are properly sealed and securely fastened to prevent wind damage, rainwater intrusion, and equipment failure.
2. Inspect and Maintain Electrical and Mechanical Equipment
Perform a comprehensive inspection of power supply lines, distribution panels, control cabinets, environmental control systems, and other electrical equipment.
Identify and eliminate potential hazards such as electrical leakage, damaged wiring, and aging components to ensure reliable operation.
Pay special attention to intelligent monitoring and early-warning systems to ensure all functions are operating properly.
Test backup generators in advance, verify operating conditions, and maintain adequate fuel reserves to ensure uninterrupted operation of critical equipment during power outages.
Conduct daily alarm system testing and check backup battery voltage to ensure alarms remain responsive and reliable.
3. Maintain Adequate Feed and Supply Reserves
Stock sufficient quantities of feed and essential farming supplies in advance.
Heavy rainfall may cause road closures and transportation disruptions. Adequate inventory helps prevent feed shortages and ensures uninterrupted feeding operations.
4. Strengthen Biosecurity and Disease Prevention
Increase livestock and poultry inspections and closely monitor feed intake, behavior, and overall health conditions.
Take immediate action if any abnormalities are observed.
Continue routine farm-wide cleaning and disinfection procedures.
Focus on thorough sanitation of feeders, drinking systems, manure handling areas, and other high-risk locations.
Prevent the growth and spread of pathogens commonly associated with wet and humid conditions, reducing the risk of disease outbreaks.
5. Personnel Safety and Emergency Response
Increase the frequency of farm inspections and equipment monitoring.
Assign designated personnel for 24-hour on-site duty to monitor equipment performance and respond promptly to emergencies.
Designate personnel to closely follow weather forecasts and emergency warnings.
During periods of heavy rain and strong winds, prohibit personnel from remaining in open areas or beneath trees.
Suspend all outdoor operations during severe weather conditions to prevent personal injury and workplace accidents.
Stay Vigilant and Stay Prepared
Please remain alert and ensure that all preventive measures are fully implemented to safeguard the safety, stability, and productivity of your farming operation.
Farm safety is never a small matter. Careful management protects both productivity and profitability.
