Blizzard, Strong Wind & Cold Wave Season is Here! Farm Prevention Measures from Little Giant

Dear Farmers and Breeders,
Extreme weather events such as blizzards, strong winds and cold waves are now at their peak. To ensure the safe operation of your farms and stable production of livestock and poultry, Little Giant hereby reminds you to complete the following preventive inspections and emergency preparations:
1.Bearing Capacity Special Inspection
Focus on checking for corrosion or looseness at joints of main load-bearing components including beams and columns. For snowy areas, pay special attention to the risk of deformation or insufficient load-bearing capacity of roof purlins.
2.Overall Barn Inspection
Check the enclosure structure; fasten loose parts and repair cracks or damages in time to prevent wind and snow from entering the barn. Ensure unobstructed drainage to avoid ice accumulation or backflow of melted snow. Inspect wind-resistant members and provide temporary reinforcement if necessary.
3.Snow Accumulation Warning & Removal
In accordance with local snow load design standards, when snowfall reaches the warning threshold, promptly and evenly remove excess roof snow under safe conditions to avoid excessive local load.
4.Environmental Control System Inspection
Adjust the target barn temperature and tunnel ventilation parameters of the environmental controller timely based on winter temperature changes, balancing both heat preservation and ventilation requirements.
5.Water Supply System Anti-freezing Protection
Drain water completely from drinking lines after use. For long-idle water supply equipment, perform drainage and sealing procedures to prevent pipe cracking and metal component corrosion.
6.Electrical Circuit Safety Inspection
Inspect all cables, distribution boxes and switching equipment one by one. Focus on potential short-circuit hazards such as aging, moisture and rodent bites. Ensure all grounding and earth-leakage protection devices are effective.
All farmers are requested to closely follow cold wave, strong wind and blizzard warnings issued by local meteorological authorities. Formulate livestock and poultry emergency evacuation plans, stock sufficient snow-clearing tools, thermal insulation materials and emergency repair parts, and launch response measures 24–48 hours in advance.
Increase patrol frequency of key areas before, during and after extreme weather to detect and resolve hazards at the earliest stage.
