The Hebei Laying Hen Welfare Cage Project covers an area of 100 mu. Breeding Zone Partitioning
FL280 Welfare Cage System – Breeding Zone Partitioning
The Little Giant FL280 Welfare Cage System adopts zoned breeding, with partitions between different areas. The housing zones for the flock can be configured according to customer requirements.Aisle sides can also be set as temporary zones, equipped with a bottom chicken retention device that can be opened or closed based on farming needs.The FL280 system features a two‑tier structure, with two rows of resting and activity platforms and nesting box platforms.The water line, feed line, and nesting boxes are arranged on the same horizontal level, allowing hens to drink immediately after feeding and lay eggs conveniently.The cage structure is evenly utilized, ensuring uniform flock distribution without interference.

Resting Area

The top level of the combined cage and nesting box structure serves as the resting area, equipped with feed lines and perches.Additional feed lines can be installed according to stocking density.The stepped design allows hens to move freely and easily between functional areas – resting, feeding, drinking, and laying – with only small jumps.

Bottom Litter System (Claw Conditioning Area)

The entire floor area of the house serves as a claw conditioning area for hens.Automatically retractable cage structures and perches expand the activity space for the flock.
Adequate lighting is installed below the entrance to the claw conditioning area, discouraging hens from laying eggs in this zone.The litter reduction system automatically removes manure and excess litter when needed, helping to reduce dust.Elevated access walkways allow detailed daily inspection of the flock and provide farm staff with an excellent view for monitoring.

The environmental control system uses the Little Giant LG800 Intelligent Poultry House Environment Controller, integrating the latest intelligent control technology.It combines ventilation, temperature, humidity, lighting, heating, cooling, feeding, and alarm functions.The user-friendly interface ensures simple and convenient operation.The system supports network connectivity and IoT integration, enabling full remote monitoring of farm operation anytime, anywhere.

Lighting Program

Lighting programs are critical for hen egg production.The equipped breeding bulbs and LED tubes feature dimming functions that realistically simulate natural light changes.Lights gradually brighten from dim to full intensity, allowing the flock to adapt smoothly and avoiding stress.
Through precise lighting control in different zones, hens can easily find feed, water, and nesting boxes in the early morning.

Drinking Water System

The drinking water system is equipped with patented drinking nipples for precise water supply.
Water line height can be adjusted independently.The intelligent control system monitors water line levels in real time for accurate water replenishment.A built-in disinfection system enables regular cleaning and sanitization.

The feeding system adopts a chain feeding mechanism with uniform feed distribution.The background control system detects feeding status accurately in real time.The feed tower delivers precise feeding, minimizing feed waste.
PART 08
Nesting Boxes

Two tiers of nesting box groups are integrated into the system via connecting passages.Hens enter the nesting boxes through curtain panels to lay eggs.Each box is equipped with soft mats and a two‑section sloped floor, ensuring all eggs roll gently onto the egg conveyor belt.At night, the sloped floors close upward, encouraging hens to use nesting boxes only for laying and preventing overnight roosting, thus reducing manure contamination.The upper level of the nesting boxes is fitted with covers to protect eggs from dust pollution.

Central Egg Collection System

Eggs from the nesting boxes roll onto egg belts with a high proportion of triangular holes, ensuring clean eggs and stable transportation.Eggs are then conveyed via longitudinal roller chains or elevators to the egg collection table.The entire egg collection system has very few transfer points, providing extremely smooth egg transport – an ideal solution for egg handling.

Longitudinal Floor Egg Collection

Each tier is equipped with a sloped bottom net, allowing approximately 1% of floor eggs to roll toward the sheet-metal perches on one side.Eggs rest safely under these perches until manual collection.The large claw conditioning area at the entrance provides sufficient height and width for farm staff to inspect nesting boxes and eggs easily.

Manure Removal System

The end manure removal system is equipped with a longitudinal manure machine and manure belts.Manure drops onto the lower belts and is conveyed longitudinally to the end of the house, then transferred transversely and obliquely to designated storage areas.The manure discharge end is shielded by manure curtains to prevent splashing and contain the manure zone neatly.Manure belts under each tier collect and remove manure from the house, reducing ammonia levels and improving hygiene.

The fully automatic spraying system performs regular disinfection and sanitization, optimizing the living environment for hens and improving survival rates.

Auxiliary Equipment

The ventilation system supports cross ventilation and tunnel ventilation with properly arranged fans.Side inlets and baffles are equipped with mesh covers; fans and side inlets have rain hoods for extended service life, stability, and reliability.Fans, air panels, small inlets, cooling pads, and temperature/humidity sensors work together to maintain the poultry house within the ideal environmental range for livestock and poultry.
